Information:
Arnold
W. Brecht was born 1896, in Minnesota Lake , Minnesota .
He served in France during World War I. He graduated from
the University of Minnesota School of Law in 1922. Shortly
after completing law school, Arnold W. Brecht came to Worthington
, Minnesota to join the law practice of Mr. John Flynn. By
1928, Arnold W. Brecht had partnered with Mr. Jack Cashel,
but in 1929, he decided to practice law individually, and
opened an office above the old Citizens' National Bank building
(now known as “The Cow's Outside”) located at 326 10 th Street,
Worthington, MN. Arnold W. Brecht served as Nobles County
Attorney from 1931 to 1947 and legal counsel for the local
school board for numerous years. Additionally, Arnold W.
Brecht served as President of the Worthington Hospital Board,
President of the Worthington Chamber of Commerce from 1943
to 1945, President of the Worthington Kiwanis Club in 1938,
and as Commander of the Calvin-Knuth Post No. 5 of the American
Legion. Arnold W. Brecht was a life member of the Nobles
County Historical Society, a member of the Knights of Columbus
and a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Practice Information:
Bill Hedeen has practiced primarily in the areas of real estate
law, estate planning, probate, insurance defense, banks and
banking, civil litigation and civil mediation since joining
the firm in 1949. With over 50 years of experience representing
people and businesses in the Worthington community and surrounding
areas, one would be hard pressed to find a more qualified and
well-respected attorney to represent his or her interests. Bill
was admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court
in 1949.

Bill Hedeen was born in 1922, in Biwabik, Minnesota. He graduated
from Carleton College with a B.A. in 1943 and he attended
the University of Minnesota School of Law, where he received
his LL.B. in 1948. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar
Association (in which he served as Secretary to the Section
of Taxation and Member of the Board of Governors); a member
of the American Bar Association (in which he served as a Member
of the House of Delegates); and a fellow of the American Bar
Foundation. Bill and his wife Katherine live in Worthington,
Minnesota.

Laurence B. Hughes

Practice Information
Larry Hughes has practiced primarily in the areas of real estate law, estate planning, probate and commercial law since joining the firm in 1965. With over 40 years of experience with both residential and commercial real estate transactions, and with access to arguably the largest and most comprehensive private collection of title opinions and real estate records in Southwestern Minnesota at his disposal, Larry has the ability to solve even the most complex real estate problems quickly and cost effectively. Larry was admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court in 1965 and the United States Supreme Court in 1971.

Larry Hughes was born in 1940, in Worthington, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S.B. in 1962 and he attended the University of Minnesota School of Law, where he received his LL.B. in 1965. He is a member of both the Minnesota State Bar Association (in which he served as Councilperson on the Section of Taxation, Chairperson of the Section of Taxation and Member of the Board of Governors); a member of the American Bar Association; and a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Larry and his wife Janet live in Worthington, Minnesota and are members of the First American Lutheran Church of Worthington. Larry is a member of the Chamber Singers and serves on the Board of Directors of First State Bank Southwest. |

Bill Wetering has practiced primarily in the areas of family law, criminal defense, personal injury, insurance defense, civil litigation and business litigation since joining the firm in 1987. Bill is an experienced litigator and has the ability to zealously represent his client’s interests and advocate on his or her behalf. Bill was admitted to practice before the South Dakota Supreme Court in 1986 and the Minnesota Supreme Court in 1987.

Bill Wetering was born in 1959, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.S. in 1983 and he attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1986. He is a member of the the State Bar of South Dakota, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association. Bill and his wife Betsy live in Worthington, Minnesota and are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington. He is a member of Worthington Noon Kiwanis and serves as a Board Member of both the Adrian State Bank and the Worthington Regional Economic Development Corporation.

Carla R. M. Olson

Practice Information
Carla Olson’s practice areas are focused on probate, estate planning, and real estate. Carla interned with Polk County, Iowa Associate Probate Judge Ruth Klotz, clerked for Iowa Title Guaranty and served as research assistant to Professor Martin Begleiter, Ellis and Nelle Levitt Distinguished Professor of Law, Drake University Law School. She is looking forward to serving the needs of her clients by applying her probate and real estate experience to the practice of law. (Admitted to the Bar, Iowa, 2007). Carla was admitted to the Minnesota Bar on May 9, 2008.

Carla Olson was born in 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Luther College and graduated with a B.A. in 1995. She attended Drake University Law School where she earned her J.D. in 2007. Before attending law school, she worked for the Loan Operations Department of Bankers Trust Company in Des Moines. Carla is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and serves as Secretary for the ISBA Probate Section. Carla is married to husband, Peter Olson. |

Andrew Titus has practice primarily in the areas of family, and criminal defense. He has experience in civil commitments, guardianships, real estate, landlord-tenant, and probate law. He is looking forward to serving the needs of his clients by applying prior experience to new proceedings. Andrew was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 2004.

Andrew Titus was born 1976 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and grew up in Jackson, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He attended William Mitchell College of Law where he earned his J.D. in 2003. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and serves as its District 13 representative. |
